250 was a big deal! It wasn't just another July 4th. Unfortunately, for some the celebration became political due to TDS in many cases, instead of about celebrating the immense achievement of lasting so many years as a union. The United States lasting 250 years is a huge deal. I remember celebrating 200, and I hope I get to celebrate 300, which will be an even bigger event. My advice to many is to lighten up and snap out of it before you miss out on more major life events.
