On eggs and chickens

It takes four and a half (4.5) months for a baby hen to become an adult chicken that lays eggs. If millions of chickens died or are culled (entire flock is euthanized), it takes quite a while to repopulate with any that are left alive. The following excerpt explains something.

More than 20 million egg-laying chickens in the U.S. died last quarter because of bird flu, data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows, marking the worst toll inflicted on America’s egg supply since the outbreak began.

The record number of chicken deaths, which includes those birds culled when infection is discovered in a flock, come as figures show egg prices have soared to the highest they have been in years, driven in large part by the virus (www.unmc.edu).

Keep in mind that the foregoing excerpt refers only to the last three months of 2024 during the Biden Administration. Moreover, the full article is from January 14, 2025. However, since 2022, supposedly more than 100 million chickens had been affected. Infected, however, is a different word which I recommend inserting when researching the issue.

In conclusion, don't count your chickens before they hatch. I am sure we can all figure this one out

  1. I've heard stories that the genocide was three times more. Who knows? I've also heard the Castro government used to fake epidemics to collect livestock from farmers.
