People have a right to protest! However, they do not have the right block public streets. Why? Blocking a street is trespassing on public property and a violation of the rights of fellow citizens who need to commute for many purposes including access to health, which may include safety, and life and death situations, among many other reasons.
Of course, if you are doing this an you entered the country illegally, you have no rights and should be arrested and deported immediately.
