Did you know Hadda Brooks married Earl "Shug" Morrison, one of the Harlem Globetrotters? They wedded in 1940, but sadly he passed away in less than a year, and she never remarried.
She was a fan of Meade Lux Lewis who wrote Honky Tonk Train Blues, which has been recorded by many artists including Keith Noel Emerson. It's amazing how American music is intertwined to so many different lives.
