Yes, it is true that taxpayers were paying the salaries of these congressmen while they debated for four days before nominating the Speaker of the House. And, yes, taxpayers are also paying their salaries while they don't work for six weeks during the summer. They also have other holiday breaks while still being paid. Just saying!
