Then Jesus[b] asked him, “What is your. name?” He replied, “My name is Legion, for we are many.” He begged him earnestly not to send them out of the region.
- Gospel of Mark 5:9-10, NRSVI am not sure how many demons would be considered a legion, but a legion of Roman soldiers was way more than five thousand. Everyone loves hearing about Jesus casting out the money changers from the temple, but I think casting out a legion of demons is a much bigger deal, not even comparable. Of course, many people today love to believe in angels, but seem to ignore their counterparts. I wonder why?

A big portion of the Gospels deal with Jesus casting out demons, so it shouldn't be the pink elephant in the room.
