Covid -19, my thoughts!

Like MERS or SARS, Covid-19 is just another worse type of Coronavirus (...a group of related viruses...which include the common cold in milder forms, for instance); however, what we are witnessing is probably mostly a mix of everything, in reality or really politics and a whole bunch of bull shit. We've had pandemics before and we survived. In fact, we are more prepared to handle these types of illnesses better than ever before in the history of our civilization.

The thing is that we are also getting a lot of media hype. We've never had information spread as quickly in the history of our civilization, also. I am convinced information spreads way quicker than any illness these days. If they would just call it "the flu" instead of "Coronavirus," I wouldn't doubt that when flu season ends in the northern hemisphere later this year, the report in retrospect would really just be this flu season was a rough one. Why? Because the flu normally kills thousands of people each year, regardless.

A final note: If you woke up an hour late today don't first assume you are fighting off a cold or a virus, since you might feel a bit jetlagged. You are most likely fighting off DST which began a week ago.

Everything you need to protect yourself from germs when you’re on the go

"While airlines and transit authorities have heightened their sanitation efforts in order to curb the virus's spread, travelers can still take extra precautions by using disinfecting and antiseptic products while they're on the go, such as hand sanitizer and cleansing wipes...."

  2. The problem with this virus is it is new to humans. We've been exposed to the Rhino viruses (common cold) and have immunities that help protect us. After this initial exposure people will have some immunities next time. We just don't know the real mortality rates yet. Italy will give us real numbers. Precautions for our elderly needs to be practiced. That's just my opinion.

  3. That is all true, but it is still being categorized as a Coronavirus, and most media don't even explain this fact thus uninformed uneducated people become afraid and alarmed perhaps more than necessary. Sure, it's a little more mysterious perhaps. But, the media also enjoys the power they have and practically orgasm from what they can create. We already know that 80 % of the people get mild to no symptoms.

  4. I think we've had the Coronavirus in our country a lot longer than we suspect. With all the business we've done with China, I wouldn't doubt places like New York City already had exposure back in December of 2019 or earlier. I say this because I don't really trust information from the Chinese government. I wouldn't doubt many have already had it and confused it for something else. Check out the symptoms if you haven't yet and you might agree.
