Winter Solstice and DST

Today is the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Most people supposedly know the Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year with relevance to daylight hours. Most people supposedly know; however, six weeks ago when we returned to Standard Time (normal time), many of those people who supposedly know where complaining that it was dark because DST ended. The assumption they made is wrong. It was dark because we were already advancing towards today, Winter Solstice. A day on planet Earth lasts 24 hours regardless of DST or Standard Time (normal time). During winter daylight is less than in the summer. Who doesn't know this fact? DST must be confusing many, and I wouldn't doubt the daily hour of unhealthy sleep deprivation is to blame. What a waste of time! Abolish DST!

Some

Some were fooled and taken for a ride. Some weren't. Some went along with it for popularity reasons. Typical personality types. Nothing new under the moon; however, actions have become more bold, and honesty has withered.

On another note: Gee wiz, we never paid attention to all the foregoing millions of coronavirus variants until now...lol. Wonder why?

What would be the reaction?

Supposedly, millions and millions of viruses descend on our planet daily. I sometimes wonder how we would react if we suddenly had a pandemic with a virus having 50% lethality instead of less than 2% (like Covid-19). Think about it! Don't think about it too much, however! If a big enough asteroid hit the planet as we travel through space, the lethality would most likely be 100% instantly. On the bright side, we wouldn't have to put up with mainstream media politicizing the asteroid, since.... Never mind, I am sure you get it. Well, I hope you do. Have a pleasant day everyone.
